Blue by Default

Ann Taylor Loft tank top; Forever 21 blazer, skirt, sunglasses, necklace, ring, rope & linked bracelet; Hand carved, wooden, Plumeria bracelet; Target wedges; J. Crew belt; Essie nail polish: Shore to Please

Segment Two of our little road trip to Asbury Park resulted in this fun Spring outfit.  Again, I have a mixture of prints from the tie-dye tank to the floral, layered mini skirt; the blazer pulls it all together without looking too matchy.
Wedges have become my go-to shoe in the Spring and Summer because they are so versatile and can be worn with a dress, distressed, over-sized denim, shorts, or your favorite pair of skinny jeans.  So look out for them in our future posts.
I hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far, and just think, two more days until Friday!

Sincerely,

One Girl's Trash is Another Girl's Treasure

Thrifted sequin blazer, bracelet, belt, Madewell leather leggings, Steve Madden pumps, Gifted elephant ring, Forever 21 necklace, H&M clutch, Essie nail polish: Chinchilly

Thrifting has become somewhat of a guilty pleasure for me.  Paying practically nothing for a timeless piece is one of the best feelings in the world.  I have found so many little treasures at thrift shops form designer bags and clothing to brand new dresses that still have the tags on them. Sometimes I don't understand how people could give such things away.  This structured blazer reminded me of Michael Jackson and I knew they would go absolutely perfect with my leather leggings for an 80's feel.  If you have an eye for thrifting, you can find such amazing staple pieces.

It's all about the Hue

J. Crew dress, H&M tights, Forever 21 blazer, booties, necklace, bracelet, sunglasses, rings, Pandora watch, thrifted belt

Its been a lot warmer than usual for a north east winter, so we took advantage of the weather to take some photos outside without having to worry about the frigid cold. After having the best pizza known to anyone in the NJ area, Benny Tudinos in Hoboken, we found a cobblestone alleyway which was the perfect location to blend and contrast with the outfit I picked out.  Winter always seems to set me in a mood where all I want to wear is dark and gloomy colors, but this blazer and necklace definitely add something to the outfit that a black blazer just wouldn't do.  (I love layering a blazer on top of just about anything to add more sophistication and dress it up.)
